PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (Student Administration) Update
The BG@100 Project Team continues the modeling phase of the Campus Solutions implementation project. In modeling, the team
evaluates the various coding options for the configuration/setup of the Campus Solutions System along with testing the BGSU
business processes in the Oracle/PeopleSoft applications. This phase began with the modeling of the Academic Structure and
the Foundation Table portions of the Student Administration modules. As modeling continues for each of the modules, the many
coding decisions and the decisions regarding business process re-engineering will be made. The team is expected to complete
modeling for the major business processes by March.
The Executive Steering Committee was presented with the Campus Solutions preliminary implementation time line. The preliminary
time line begins to define the phased go-live activities that will occur over the next 20 months so that Campus Solutions
becomes the system used to handle the Student Administration business for Summer 2009 and beyond. Per the preliminary time
line, go-live activities begin in July 2008 so that the Admissions processing for Summer and Fall 2009 can occur in the new
system.
The BG@100 Project Team will continue working on implementation planning tasks. The implementation planning is being finalized
and an Implementation Project Plan is being assembled. As important decisions are made by the Project Team and reviewed by
the Executive Steering Committee, the plans will be communicated to the campus community.
The Residential Management System (RMS) implementation has begun. RMS will replace the University's Housing system as a part
of the Campus Solutions go-live. The Project Team has had initial kickoff phone calls with RMS and installation activities
will begin in February.
