The following messages was sent to the BGSU campus community on December 7, 2007 as an introduction to the Microsoft Exchange
project.
Dear BGSU faculty, staff, and students;
During the first half of 2008, BGSU will transition account holders from the current email system to a new Microsoft Exchange
based email system.
The move to this system will provide features such as integrated calendaring, an improved webmail interface, larger quotas,
and cell phone synchronization. The Microsoft Exchange 2007 environment will begin to be available for faculty, staff and
students during the spring 2008 semester. It will replace the current BGNet and Meeting Maker solutions. Further details
regarding the migration process and timelines will be available near the beginning of the spring semester.
A current list of Exchange Project Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) is available for your reference at the project web site:
http://www.bgsu.edu/offices/cio/page39967.html . You are also invited to submit your questions regarding the project via the Rumor Mill link available at this web site.
Project details will continue to be distributed via the Exchange project web page as well as in communications that will be
sent to you during the upcoming months.
Sincerely, The Office of the CIO
