Administrative Systems Review Project Update - September 15, 2003
The first major project milestone has been reached. The RFP for the selection of administrative software systems was released
on September 9, 2003, completing Phase I of the project.
The updated timeline included in the RFP is as follows:
RFP released - September 9 Vendor responses due to BGSU - October 3, 2003 Vendor demonstrations - October 20 through 31 Vendor selection and contract negotiations - Late Fall 2003
The RFP reflects an accumulation of the collective needs of BGSU. Those participating in Decision Director forums and the
Validation teams were an integral part of the process. To give you a sense of what has been accomplished, here are a few
facts:
Functional and Technical Requirements of the RFP included:
1,612 requirements in the Finance Module 951 requirements in the Human Resources Module 3,113 requirements in the Student Information System Module 548 requirements in the General Technical Module 166 requirements in the Document Imaging Module 6,390 Total Requirements included in the RFP
In addition to these requirements, BGSU requested potential vendors to respond to many of the questions regarding their company
and their data warehouse solution.
Also, the Validation teams developed more than 145 business scripts. These scripts describe key or unique processes of BGSU
and will be used during vendor demonstrations to evaluate key functionality included in the software. The processes represented
