PeopleSoft FMS became the University's financial system of record on Monday, February 5, 2007. The successful implementation
of FMS was the result of 18 months of dedicated effort by the BG@100 Project team, Purchasing Office, Business Office, SPAR
Office, and many other University staff members. The BG@100 Project Office is very appreciative of everyone that assisted
with the implementation. It was a great team effort.
The BG@100 Training team trained more than 700 University staff members over the past three months by offering 132 classes.
Additionally, the training team created procedure manuals, quick references, web based training courses, and various other
documentation to assist in the transition to the FMS system. Through the efforts of Lori Beeman and Meredith Flynn, (the
BG@100 trainers), the University was provided an excellent introduction to FMS. The BG@100 Project Office thanks Lori and
Meredith for their dedication and commitment. FMS classes are offered in February for staff that still need training. Contact
the BG@100 office for details - BGat100@bgsu.edu.
University staff members that have attended FMS training and submitted FMS security forms to the BG@100 Project office can
access the system at https://fms.bgsu.edu. If you have been to FMS training but have not yet submitted FMS security forms, you will need to do so to get access to
the system. The FMS security forms and instruction for completing the forms can be obtained by using the FMS Security Forms link above.
FMS users that have questions about the system can call the ITS Technology Support Center at 372-0999 or e-mail the BG@100
Project Office at BGat100@bgsu.edu.
The staff at the BG@100 Project Office thanks all the individuals that assisted with the implementation. We extend a special
thanks to Jim Stainbrook, Bill Wheelock, and Cindy Price for their constant support of the FMS implementation.
PeopleSoft Campus Solution (Student Administration) Update
The BG@100 Student Administration core project began preparing for the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions System (CSS) implementation
in November 2006. Thus far, the core team has attended the essential Oracle/PeopleSoft training classes and they have been
preparing information for the CSS fit gap sessions. Over the next months, the team will be involved in planning activities
and defining the scope of the implementation.
BG@100 Project Office Update
The BG@100 Project Team will bid farewell to Mike McComas in February. Brian Grime from the ITS Information Security team
has joined the project team to manage PeopleSoft security on an interim basis.
In early March, the FMS functional leads will be moving back to their home offices and the CSS functional team will be moving
into the project office.
