eTime Tuesday, September 16, 2003 Room 309 Bowen Thompson Student Union
Committee Members Present: Kim Davis, Mike Failor, Duane Hamilton, Jeff Nelson, Mariann Reiter, Sandy Sadoff, Pam Sautter, Michelle Simmons, Jim Stainbrook
Jim Stainbrook called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.
Jim Stainbrook stated fall training started on September 15. Every two weeks a new group begins. Michelle Simmons stated
week one is orientation and week two is hands on. Jeff Nelson commented that it is going very well.
Jim Stainbrook stated there are about 50 Mac areas. Some will be receiving hand-me-down PC’s. These areas will be the last
to complete training.
Jeff Nelson stated Carl Dettmer in Continuing Education has been doing the scheduling, rosters, locating rooms, etc., for
the eTime training. Jeff said Carl is doing a great job and it is very much appreciated.
Jim Stainbrook stated Monday, September 22, the Core Committee will be meeting with Rebecca Ferguson, Gaylyn Finn and Bruce
Petryshak. They will be discussing the user groups, need for an executive committee and the future of eTime.
Next, Jim Stainbrook opened the meeting to feedback and a question and answer period. Items discussed:
- Missing a punch and not allowing the system to approve.
- Student managers not looking at time correctly, not close enough to catch errors.
- System being extremely slow if too many are trying to use or print reports. Kronos has made some suggestions. One is a
new web service product that is being installed which works better in the Windows environment.
- Old terminations that need to be manually terminated are being worked on. One fix has been installed. - There is a discrepancy in time detail reports reporting two different totals. Sandy White and Mike Failor will look into
the problem.
- There is a card reader located at the Stadium in the maintenance garage. This may also be useful for employees in the Concession
area.
Duane Hamilton stated his area had “zero” corrections this week for the first time. All students in his area are using eTime.
Firelands training will be in November and they will go live December 7.
Jim Stainbrook adjourned the meeting at 1:50 p.m.
