Removing the Security Alert Warning From Access to eTime with Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer is used to access the eTime system. The default settings for Internet Explorer will generally cause the
warning shown in the illustration below to be displayed on screen when you attempt a connection with the eTime server.
If you would like to eliminate this warning from being displayed each time you access the system, please follow the instructions
below. Note that this setting will change the options in Internet Explorer for ALL web site that you access, not just eTime,
but it is not a significant issue for most users.

1. When you receive the “Security Alert” shown above, click on the “No” button.
2. This will cancel you out of access to the web site for the moment and it will return “Action Cancelled” and “No Page To
Display”.
3. On the Internet Explorer menu bar, click on “Tools” and “Internet Options as shown in the illustration below.

4. Click on the “Advanced” tab in the dialogue box that is returned and scroll to the bottom of the list as shown below.

5. Note the line that is highlighted – Warn about invalid site certificates.” If the check box for this line is checked,
uncheck the box by clicking directly on the line or in the box itself.
6. Now click on the “Apply” button located in the bottom right corner. And click on the “OK” button to accept your changes.
7. Completely exit out of the Internet Explorer program. If you have more than one “session” open on your computer, you will
need to exit out of all IE sessions.
8. If you now make a new connection with eTime, you should no longer see the “Security Alert” Warning.
