The BG@100 Project Office continues to conduct Fit/Gap for FMS during the month of November. Fit/Gap is the process of comparing
the BGSU financial business processes with the functionality in the FMS application. This is done to determine where the business
processes need to be changed to match the FMS functionality or where additional functionality might be required. Individuals
from the Treasurer's Office, Business Office, Bursar's Office, Internal Auditing Office, Capital Planning Office, Office of
the Executive Vice President, Office of Finance and Administration, BG@100 Project Office, and other offices have been invited
to assist with Fit/Gap. The following is the updated Fit/Gap schedule.

The BG@100 Project team has been engaged in gathering information regarding the many interface systems that generate input
to the University's financial system. The team is researching the potential alternatives for accommodating these requirements
within the PeopleSoft FMS system. Due to the complexities identified in the current interface processes, it is expected that
a substantial effort will be required to engineer a set of solutions that will meet the University's interface needs. The
Project Office thanks April Shumaker and Sylvia Cuthbert from the Bursar's Office for sharing information regarding their
interaction with the financial system.
The BG@100 Project team is in the initial discovery stage of the data conversion process. They have started identifying the
key FMS tables that will require data conversion and have begun the initial steps required to design the Chart of Accounts.
PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) Update
The HCM Support Team is assessing the effort required to upgrade the HCM module from version 8.8 to 8.9. The upgrade will
likely occur in the first half of the 2006 calendar year. The Support Team is also assessing the effort required to implement
eBenefts and eRecruitment.
