Update - August 2005
The BG@100 Project Office is gradually shifting its focus from PeopleSoft HCM (Human Capital Management) to PeopleSoft FMS
(Financial Management System). Now that the HCM system is implemented and being utilized to process the University's Human
Resources and Payroll business, the Project Team is transitioning to an application support role for this application. The
team is also beginning to plan for the FMS implementation phase of the BG@100 Project.
The PeopleSoft FMS application will replace the AMS AFIN application as the University's financial system. The FMS implementation
process will be conducted similar to the HCM implementation system. The project phase is expected to last approximately 18
months. During the next three months, the Project Team will be performing the initial information gathering, training, and
project planning for the FMS implementation.
The BG@100 Project Office is happy to introduce the FMS core implementation team. Kathleen LeRoy, Trish Jenkins, George Knauss,
and Deb Clink will be leading the configuration and implementation of the PeopleSoft FMS application. These individuals have
begun their Oracle/PeopleSoft FMS training program that consists of week long courses in General Ledger, Purchasing, Accounts
Payable, Asset Management, and Commitment Control.
HCM Training
Training will continue to be offered during August and September for "View My Paycheck", Applicant Tracking, and Budget/Contracting
Officials. Please consult the schedule by following the BG@100 HCM Training link above. Class dates and times will be posted
as the schedules are finalized. If you feel you need to be included in a training class, please identify your specific training
need by email to
BGat100@bgsu.edu.
Thank You
The BG@100 Project Office thanks the university community for its support and patience as the Project Team progressed through
the HCM implementation. We extend a special thank you to the Office of Human Resources, the Payroll Office, Student Employment
Services, the Graduate College, and Information Technology Services for their assistance on the HCM implementation. The success
of the project was dependent on the support that the team received from the individuals in these offices.
