Internet2 initiatives will also be enhanced by Governor Taft's Third Frontier Project. This project includes the Third Frontier
Network, also known as the Dark Fiber Initiative. The Third Frontier Network is being created to provide advanced telecommunications
services to support higher education and research in the state of Ohio. BGSU will be a POP (point of presence) for this project.
