| Q: What is PeopleSoft query? |
| A: PeopleSoft Query is an end user reporting tool. PeopleSoft query has two components: Query Viewer and Query Manager. |
| Q: What is Query Viewer? |
| A: Query Viewer enables users to: search for a query, run a public query and display results in a browser window or HTML, download query results to an Excel spreadsheet, and print a query. |
| Q: Who are Query Viewers? |
| A: Query Viewers are users who only need to run pre-existing, public queries authored by Query Managers. Query Viewers are chosen by functional leads, Directors, Chairs, etc. Query Viewer typically download results into an Excel spreadsheet. |

| A: A public query is authored by a Query Manager for all query users to view. |

| A: A private query is authored by a Query Manager that only the author or owner of the query can view or modify. |
| Q: What is Query Manager? |
| A: Query Manager is an end user reporting tool. Query Manager is one component of PeopleSoft Query. Query Managers retrieve data from the database by selecting records, adding fields to query content, viewing fields selected for output, changing the column order for multiple fields, changing the sort order for multiple fields, editing field properties, viewing and editing query properties. |
