CSS - Campus Solutions

Project Summary

BGSU has implemented Oracle / PeopleSoft as the enterprise resource project (ERP) system.  Implementing this ERP system has allowed for the integration of data and processing into a unified system which helps with information integration, process efficiency, managerial decision making, cost reduction, accuracy, and information accessibility.  The project to transition to this ERP system at BGSU was named BG@100 - with the goal of completing the implementation prior to the university's centennial celebration in 2010.

Oracle / PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CSS) is a suite of software specifically designed as a higher education student administration system.  The CSS modules selected for implementation at BGSU include: campus community (person data - biographic / demographic information), admissions (graduate and undergraduate), student records (class schedule, registration, grading, transcripts), self-service, student financials, and financial aid.

The BG@100 Project team completed implementation of the Oracle / PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CSS) v 8.9 module in July 2009.  This July go-live was the last of 11 scheduled, phased implementations that completed the conversion of data from the legacy SIS system to CSS.  With this implementation, CSS became the "system of record" and current data source for student data at BGSU.
