Violations

Parking enforcement efforts at BGSU result in a variety of violations, defined in the Parking Rules and Regulations. Permit holders are responsible for all violations issued to their registered vehicle and to any vehicle in which the permit is displayed. Violations associated with unregistered vehicles brought onto campus by faculty, staff and students for their use are the responsibility of that individual. Visitor violations are the responsibility of the registered vehicle owner.

01	No valid permit 1st offense – warning 2nd offense – $25.00 fine 3rd offense and beyond – $50.00 fine
02	Failure to display valid permit 1st offense – warning 2nd offense and beyond – $25.00 fine
03	Permit and vehicle license plate don’t match 1st offense – warning 2nd offense – $25.00 fine 3rd offense and beyond – $50.00 fine
04	Not parked in the assigned area/lot 1st offense – $25.00 fine 2nd offense and beyond – $50.00 fine
05	Reproduction/illegal use of permit All – $250.00 fine
06	Overtime at a meter/pre-pay space All – $10.00 fine
07	Outside designated space 1st offense – $15.00 fine 2nd offense and beyond – $25.00 fine
08	Parking in a restricted area All – $50.00 fine
09	Overtime in a loading/unloading zone All – $25.00 fine
10	Parking in a handicap space All – $250.00 fine
11	Boot fee ( boot removal fee) All – $50.00 fine
