Please read important explanations about the bills and their balances found on your My BGSU web page:
On viewing your student account screens, the charges and credits may include more than just one semester's activity at a time.
To help you determine a particular semester's transaction, please use the date references as a guide as well as the term coding specified in the "Year/Term" column and add up that semester's
charges and applicable credits.
Financially aided? Read on….
-
If you are a financially aided student: actual financial aid deferments = monetary credits for one semester are designated and used for that semester, for example, Fall aid is applied to your Fall charges. Due to regulations surrounding Federal, state, and other financial aid, universities cannot automatically apply aid from one
academic year to another. Please consult either the Student Financial Aid Office, or the Office of the Bursar for more explanation
and details. At certain times during the semester, your bill may reflect aid for a future semester which masks charges for
the current semester. Please pay the current charges when due to preclude blocked registration or other privileges. Future
aid is intended for the appropriate future semester.
-
Your original financial aid award is made assuming you will enroll for at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester. If you are registered for the next semester at less than 12 credit hours, your financial aid MAY BE an initially overstated
credit in the "Financial Aid Deferment" box on the bill screens.
- To avoid being assessed a service charge, please make sure all billed charges are paid by the due date.
- Warning:
If you intend to enroll in less than 12 credit hours, it is your responsibility to inform the Student Financial Aid Office
to correct your enrollment information. Failure to do this in a timely fashion may delay any potential corrected application
of aid to your student account and possible refund to you.
If you have questions about your bill, please contact the Office of the Bursar at (419) 372-2815.
