About Your Student eBill
No more paper bills! E-mail notifications are sent to the BGSU student e-mail address and authorized parents when the eBill is available to view on-line. We encourge you to view the eBill to make sure that you do not have a balance due. A reminder e-mail will be sent to those students/parents who have not viewed the eBill.
For Students:
To view your BGSU eBill, log in to your MyBGSU account and click on the Bursar Services under Financial in the left navigation pane>View Bill & Make Payment. This will take you directly to the eBill (CashNet) site. For a PowerPoint presentation on how to read your eBill click here.
For Parents:
Your student may authorize parents/other to receive the electronic notification for the eBill and to make on-line payments. To authorize a parent or guest, students must log on to your MyBGSU>Bursar Services>View Bill & Make
Payment>and follow the link to Parent PINs. Once the student grants access, an e-mail is sent from CashNet, listing the user ID and a temporary password. Immediately upon logging in, the parent or guest will be asked to change that password to one of their choosing. Once authorized, a parent may view the student’s eBill at any time and make payments. Parents may access account information at: https://commerce.cashnet.com/bgsupay.
Problems logging in or making payments:
CashNet is programmed to work with Internet Explorer. You may experience system issues if using another browser such as Firefox or Safari. Make sure that https://commerce.cashnet.com as a trusted site and that popup blockers are off . Have the student check the Parent PIN link to ensure the following questions were answered correctly:
Should this person...
- be allowed to log in?
- have permission to access electronic bills and if so, also receive electronic bill email notifications?
eBills are generated around the 1st of the month. Please check the statement summary within your eBill for the posted due date. In addition, ensure that finances are in place by the posted due date.
The eBill is a static, point-in-time bill. It will show all activity that occurred up to the billing date. Any transactions that occur after the bill date can be viewed by clicking "View activity since last eBill". These transactions will appear on your next billing statement.
