ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT
The Bowling Green State University Bookstore accepts the following forms of payment:

  • Cash
  • Visa, Mastercard, Discover (with your signature only)
  • BG1 Bucks
  • Personal checks imprinted with your address and accompanied by suitable identification
    We cannot under any circumstances accept third party checks or credit cards belonging to anyone but the immediate customer.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS
A CASH REGISTER RECEIPT AND VALID ID ARE REQUIRED.
If original purchase was made by credit card, the same card is required for issuing credit.

Refunds are only issued at cash registers at the front of the store where the original purchase was made. Books and supplies cannot be brought into the selling area of the bookstore at any time. The free coin return lockers should be used to secure belongings before entering the store.

All merchandise must be in brand new and reusable condition, with the exception of "used" textbooks. Textbooks originally purchased as new must not be marked, written in, damaged or soiled in any way to be eligible for a full refund.

Pre-packaged items must remain intact and unopened in the original manufacture's wrapping, including, but not limited to music CDs, DVDs, videos, computer software and textbook packages.

Full refunds will be given on used and unmarked new textbooks, with a sales receipt according to the following schedule:
-within the first week of classes for the summer semester

Full refunds will be given on all general reading and reference books (not required for a class) and all other general merchandise, with a sales receipt according to the following schedule:
-ten days from purchase date as printed on the register receipt.

Books or other items with manufacturing defects may be exchanged at any time during the semester with original receipt and at management's discretion. Manufacturer defective merchandise can only be exchanged for the same title or item. If item is not in stock, it will be special ordered.

Software refunds will be honored for ten (10) days from the date of purchase shown on the register receipt. Since our software is sold at Educational pricing, we cannot sell them over the web site. You must have a valid college ID to purchase any software. We do not accept returns on opened software due to licensing agreements. There are no faculty or staff discounts because the software is already at Educational pricing.
