The Bookstore has been involved with providing digital content since 2005 when it was one of the first ten university bookstores nationally to sell eTextbooks. Although eTextbooks used for courses have not taken off as quickly as traditional eBooks downloaded to an Amazon Kindle or Apple iPad, that early experience has evolved into the robust program offering today. Affiliate relationships for digital content include Amazon, Inkling, Campus eBookstore, open source publisher Flat World Knowledge, legacy eTextbook CourseSmart – “the world’s largest provider of digital course materials”, and others.

In addition, the Ziggabyte technology store sells a wide assortment of tablets and eReaders including the Amazon Kindle, the Barnes & Noble Nook, the Samsung Galaxy, and of course, the ubiquitous Apple iPad. As new eReader hardware and software options emerge, Ziggabyte and the BGSU Bookstore will continue to innovate and keep the BGSU Community on the cutting edge.
