for BGSU custom doctoral rental regalia need to be placed by (see event calendar) for Fall commencement. Students should measure their full height, with the shoes on that will be worn in the ceremony. For proper fitting of the tam, doctoral students will need to provide hat size. If the hat size is not known, it can be measured, in inches, by placing a tape measure snugly around the head, directly above the eyebrows and ears. Any student needing assistance can also come to the bookstore in person for measurement.
Some doctoral student graduates, if pursuing a career in higher education, may be interested in purchasing BGSU custom regalia instead of renting the gown and hood. The full purchase price of a complete outfit will be $746.00. Doctoral students who graduated from BGSU in prior years will also be able to purchase this custom regalia, regardless of their current campus affiliation. Orders for purchase or rental can take up to seven weeks, so sufficient lead time should be allowed.
