Thank you for attending the excel workshop, Excel: Moving from Data to Information, presented by Mel Hudson-Nowak.  We hope you found it helpful.

We urge you to play around with your own data and your own reporting requirements.  Make a few pivot tables and see what analyses you can perform.  Remember Mel’s message – put the effort in up front making a spreadsheet you can use month after month, then simply change the data each month.  You’ll save time in the long run!

Please select the links at the left to download the data used for the workshop.   The “Excel Data” file is the data we started the class with.  The “Excel Data Completed Worksheet” provides the spreadsheet we’re calling the “answer” which Mel passed out in class.

If you would like to access the queries used for the workshop they can be found in the FMS query access area.  The queries used were are titled BG_JRNL_DETAIL_VNDR (a detailed list of journal entries with vendors) and BG_BUDGET_DETAIL (a detailed list of budget entries).
