2006 SAAC Lunch Awards
In March 2006, eleven programs won SAAC Lunch Awards for the excellence of their assessment programs. The 2006 winners are
AYA Integrated Language Arts, Bowen-Thompson Student Union, Early Childhood Studies, Economics, English, First Year Programs and Orientation, MBA Programs, Physical Education Teacher Education, Psychology, Respiratory Care and Spanish .
The winners were selected from twenty-seven programs that constituted the list of finalists:
Administrative Office Systems, Architecture, Architecture, AYA Integrated Language Arts, AYA Math, Biology, Bowen-Thompson Student Union, Center for Multicultural and Academic Initiatives, Marketing, Dietetics, Early Childhood Studies, Economics, Electronics & Computer Technology, English, First Year Programs and Orientation, Higher Ed & Student Affairs, MBA Programs, Master of Organization Development, Music Composition, Music Performance, Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE), Psychology, Respiratory Care, Sociology, Spanish.
2005 SAAC Lunch Awards
In March 2005, SAAC hosted an awards ceremony to honor the best assessment reports presented between 2001 and 2005. Eight
programs won "lunch awards," Dining Services gift cards meant to provide lunch for the faculty and staff members who conducted
and reported the assessments. The 2005 winners are Psychology (also see the Psychology reports for 2001, 2002, and 2003), Romance Languages (French) and (Spanish), College of Musical Arts (also see Music Education), Orientation and First Year Programs, MBA Degree Programs, School of Art, Marketing, and English. The winners were selected by SAAC on the basis of being the most complete examples of identifying one or more learning outcome
to assess, collecting assessment information, analyzing it, and doing something based on the findings to improve student learning.
The 2005 winners were selected from forty program reports that constituted the list of finalists:
