Document management software allows greater availability of digital documents. Documents are made accessible over the internet
and permissions are set up so select users can access them. To implement document management for our department, we have teamed
up with Digital Services which is part of the BGSU ITS department, they utilize OnBase document management software. AutoCAD small scale drawings, scanned construction drawings, and building photographs will
be entered into the OnBase system. OnBase will allow searching for documents by various keywords, and has workflow capabilities
that will provide history and tracking. This will allow consistent, high quality documentation made available to those who
require it.
