Mission
The team mission is to service the University community with quality design, architecture, engineering, construction, and
planning of facilities and other related endeavors in cooperative, professional, efficient, thorough, and effective ways and
practices, using technology, foresight, systems thinking, and pro-activity to help effectuate the University's vision of becoming
a premier learning community and to uphold and protect the rights and responsibilities of the University in all activities
performed or conducted by the Office of Design and Construction.
Vision
The Office of Design and Construction seeks to become a team of professional and insightful thinkers endeavoring to be effective
strategic problem solvers in the activities of design, architecture, engineering, construction, and planning for the University
as we work toward the vision of creating a premier learning environment. With conscientious thought and considered application,
we will provide process and leadership that is procedural and efficient from project inception and early conceptualization;
budgeting and planning; functional and facility programming; and onward through preliminary design, design development, and
construction documents; bidding, negotiation, and award of contracts; pre-construction, construction, occupancy, and post
occupancy of all projects. We will strive to become a department that is formidable in servicing the University community
with quality assistance and prosperous outcomes.
