1980- The natatorium (swimming pool) is torn down to make room for the new Eppler physical education center.
1983 - For the first time two women are named to vice-presidential posts.
1984- The Falcon hockey team wins the NCAA national championship.
1985 - Ronald Reagan visits BGSU. He is one of several current or soonto- be presidents to visit the campus or city. Others
were Warren G. Harding, Theodore Roosevelt,William Howard Taft, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, and Gerald Ford.
1989 - Telephone registration is introduced to BGSU with the Star 90 system. BGSU graduates its 100,000th student. The first
student representatives are named to the University Board of Trustees.
