Mileti Alumni Center opened.
$9 was added to the instructional fees of both undergraduates and graduates to offset the yearly University deficit of $409,000.
Billy Joel, Dave Mason and the Michael Stanley Band performed on campus.
The campus became completely smoke free - no one, including professors, were allowed to smoke in classrooms or in buildings around campus.
