  • The Lacrosse team was the nation's only undefeated team this year.

  • University Hall received more comfortable seating, an improved sound system and air conditioning in the main auditorium.

  • 250 students were left without rooms when more upperclassmen requested campus housing. Additional space was made in Founders, Rodgers and Kohl halls. - Streaking hit BGSU on March 6. Approximately 50 male streakers, flashed their bodies in the vicinity of Peregrine Pond.

  • The Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity house caught on fire due to an overstuffed chair catching on fire.

  • BGSU became the first university in northwest Ohio to have a nursing baccalaureate degree program.

  • Paul Miles was the first BGSU athlete to have his jersey number #29) retired.
