Howard's Bar in downtown BG was demolished to make way for the new Wood County Library. The Business Building and the Industrial Arts Building opened. John Denver performed on campus. Forrest Creason Golf Course expanded from a 9-hole course to 18 making it the only 18-hole course in the area. Dave Wottle brought a gold medal to the U.S. track team and fame to BGSU in cross country. An administrative indecision about smoking and drinking in Anderson Arena resulted in no major concerts on campus spring quarter.
