Ralph McDonald became 4th president of BGSU.
Niles Fulwyler was chief justice of Student Court, assisted by justices Angela Genovese, Shirley Hollis, John Grossman and Mark Brown.
Geography was established as a separate department.
BG News editor Donald Tindall wrote a column “Take a Break with Tindall.”
The Falcon swim team won the Ohio College Swim Relays.
