Student Council was founded in 1935-36 as an outgrowth of student dissatisfaction with administrative policy and inactivity,
felt the need of an organization to express student opinion.
Bowling Green became a state university in May.
Enrollment grew to 1,800 of whom 1,157 were in a 4-year degree course and 55 in the master's program.
The College of Business Administration was established.
Students and faculty joined to spell out new initials of Bowling Green Normal College
