Yearbook takes on new name: The Key (Coach McCandles wrote on Jan. 29, 1924, “My Annual and What it Means to Me” and referred
to the annual as “a key used to unlock his past.”

The first business club, Quill Type, was established. Its motto was “Speed, accuracy and efficiency.” Its colors were red
and black, taken from the colors of the typewriter's ribbon.
