  • The first building to be completed for use on the University campus was the North Hall dormitory for women, completed in June.

  • The Power plant for the normal school was completed.

  • School colors of orange and brown were chosen.

  • A college song, "We Hail You, Dear Normal College," was composed by music instructor Ernest G. Hesser.

  • The first commencement was held July 29 in Chidester Theatre where 35 students received their diplomas in elementary education.

  • The former Administration Building was completed in September.

  • The Philharmonic Club organized with 25 members.
