The first building to be completed for use on the University campus was the North Hall dormitory for women, completed in June.

The Power plant for the normal school was completed.

School colors of orange and brown were chosen.

A college song, "We Hail You, Dear Normal College," was composed by music instructor Ernest G. Hesser.

The first commencement was held July 29 in Chidester Theatre where 35 students received their diplomas in elementary education.

The former Administration Building was completed in September.

The Philharmonic Club organized with 25 members.
