Alumni Laureate Scholarship

How to apply

The application for the Alumni Laureate Scholarship is available in PDF format. It may be completed and submitted electronically as long as you have the latest version of Adobe Reader; this free software is available for download here. 

Please note that previous versions of Adobe Reader may cause errors in your application.

• BGSU main campus admissions application and credentials must be on file with the Office of Admissions by December 3, 2012. To apply for admission, click here.
• Must have ACT score (27 or higher) and/or SAT score (1100 or higher, excluding writing portion) on file with the Office of Admissions by December 3, 2012.
• Must have at least a 3.5 cumulative high school GPA on a 4.0 scale on file with the Office of Admissions by December 3, 2012.

The application deadline is 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2012. This is not a postmark deadline. Late applications will not be considered.

Scholarship awards will be announced in spring 2013.

Selection process

All complete applications are reviewed by a scholarship review committee. The committee is comprised of BGSU faculty, staff and alumni. From review, 15 students are selected to participate in Alumni Laureate Scholar Selection Weekend including a reception for students and families and an on-campus interview. 

Those selected students must participate in the weekend to be eligible for the scholarship. Selection Weekend is scheduled for Friday, January 25 and Saturday, January 26, 2013.
