Class of 1972 40th Reunion
Class gift
Greetings from your 40th reunion committee!
In addition to reconnecting during our reunion celebration, the reunion planning committee wanted to give a gift that would have a lasting visual and cultural impact on campus. The perfect venue is the new sculpture garden which is being created between the recently opened Wolfe Center and the School of Art. Your gift will enable us to provide the inaugural piece of sculpture in the garden.
Members of the 40th Reunion Committee along with the Public Art Committee of BGSU have chosen a sculpture entitled “Column, Block and Base” by sculptor Ken Thompason. The 7’ by 8’ by 16’9” sculpture made of marble, granite and stainless steel will enjoy a prominent place in the sculpture garden and forever recognize the Class of 1972 with a permanent gift of art to our University.
We need your help now to reach our goal. While all contributions to the University during our reunion year will count toward our reunion total, we need your help specifically to reach our goal of $25,000 to fund the purchase of the artwork.
Please join us and make a special contribution to your alma mater in honor of our 40th Anniversary. With your generous help, we will enhance the library experience for current BGSU students. Don’t wait – we want you to be counted among our donors for the Class of 1972 40th Reunion Class Gift. Let’s show them what 1972 can do!
Sincerely,
Class of 1972 Reunion Committee
