Reconnect and see how BGSU has changed: June 25-27, 2010 Alumni & Friends Weekend is a tradition that started in 2008 as a way for alumni, families and friends to return to campus
and see what has changed (and what hasn't) since graduation. We invite you to join us in 2010 as BGSU's Centennial is in full
swing! The 100th year will be an exciting one, with events planned across campus to commemorate the University's birthday.
Each month, the Alumni Association will feature new information on what's planned for the Weekend, including Reunions, special
event listings, registration details and much more. Much of this information will be included in EZiggy, our monthly e-mail
newsletter (click here to sign up).
We're still in the early planning stages, so if you have any ideas or suggestions on what would bring Falcons back to campus,
we welcome your feedback on the following brief survey:

25th, 40th, 50th Reunions to be showcased
The Alumni Association is excited to announce that sponsored Reunion activities for the Classes of 1960, 1970 and 1985 will be held during Alumni & Friends Weekend, a shift from their traditional celebration during Homecoming each year.
This is expected to open a wide range of opportunities for Falcons, friends and family, with warm weather and chances to engage
in Centennial festivities throughout the weekend.
Special Reunion events for each class are planned by committees, which are still forming for 2010. If you are interested in
participating on the committee for your class year, please contact Shannon Spencer, assistant director of reunion activities,
at spensha@bgsu.edu.
Happy 100th, BGSU! In concert with the many campus-wide festivities planned for BGSU's Centennial year, the Saturday night highlight of Alumni & Friends Weekend will be a Centennial Birthday Bash with food, drinks and entertainment for the whole family!
This special event will bring everyone on campus—including Reunion groups, Falcon Flames and other visitors—together for a
huge display of Falcon spirit that spans the last century.
Be sure to visit the alumni web site often for more details on the event as they become available. We'll see you next summer!
Falcon Flames renew their vows One of the special groups that will be joining us next summer are Falcon Flames: couples who both attended BGSU and were later married. We're excited to welcome Falcon Flames back to campus, and the Weekend
will feature a vow renewal ceremony at Prout Chapel, one of BGSU's enduring landmarks and home to so many lasting traditions.
Van and Tracey Wright, both 1977 graduates, are one of the couples who will be joining the festivities next summer.
"Alumni & Friends Weekend is a real opportunity to reconnect with our University," says Van. "With all of the excitement of
the Centennial and big projects getting underway like the Stroh Center and Wolfe Center, it;s the right time to catch the excitement of BGSU's next 100 years while celebrating the first 100."
"Like all Falcon Flames, BGSU will always hold a special place for us - we met right there," according to Tracey. "And 34
years later, we still love to return."
Be sure to visit this page often as new information on the Weekend becomes available, and we hope to see you next year!
