The Accomplished Graduate Award is presented to an alumnus based on their outstanding professional achievements, community involvement and documented demonstration
of the five core values of BGSU: respect for one another, cooperation, intellectual and spiritual growth, creative imaginings
and pride in a job well done.
The Distinguished Alumnus Award is presented to an alumnus who has gained national or international distinction in his or her chosen field or profession
and whose accomplishments reflect positively upon Bowling Green State University.
The Alumni Community Award is presented to a BGSU graduate who has performed outstanding voluntary service beyond normal business or professional obligations.
This award is presented as a surprise in the recipient's local community.
The Alumni Service Award is presented to a BGSU gradate who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, devotion and service for the betterment of the
BGSU Alumni Association. This award is traditionally presented during Homecoming weekend.
The Recent Graduate Award is presented to an individual who has graduated from BGSU within the last 15 years and has demonstrated a commitment to civic
involvement and to participation in University and/or Alumni Association activities. This award is also traditionally presented
during Homecoming weekend.
The Honorary Alumnus Award is presented to a respected individual who is not a BGSU graduate but whose efforts have significantly contributed to the
growth and development of Bowling Green State University. This award is traditionally presented during Homecoming weekend.
The Outstanding Senior Award is presented to a member of the senior class who has a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and has demonstrated leadership,
academic achievement and involvement in campus activities and community service.
The Master Teacher Award is presented to a full-time faculty or staff member with a minimum of three years full-time service to the University. The
recipient must have scholarly knowledge of his or her subject matter and present the material in an organized and effective
manner relative to the subject taught.
