Help recruit students to BGSU
One of BGSU's most valuable resources is its network of alumni. More colleges and programs than ever are competing for a limited number of college-age applicants, and this challenging environment isn't likely to ease in the near future.
That's why you are so important: first-hand experience of BGSU's history, traditions, and spirit gives Falcon graduates a unique voice in speaking to young people about the value of a BGSU diploma. Read on to learn more about easy ways to help.
For information on upcoming events, applying to BGSU, financial aid and more, please visit the BGSU admissions home page.
Refer a student to BGSU Admissions
One of the best ways to support the University's mission and make it a more competitive institution is also the easiest: by referring a prospective student to the Office of Admissions, you help feed the 'pipeline' of talent coming to campus while also advocating for BGSU on a very personal level. Word-of-mouth and personal referrals can be very effective recruiting tools.
If you know a prospective student that would make a great addition to the Falcon community, please let us know!
Volunteering
If you are interested in volunteering on behalf of BGSU Admissions, the best way to get started is to complete the brief interest form below. ASSET - Alumni Supporting Student Enrollment Together - is a special initiative that aims to bring the best and brightest to BGSU and ultimately foster a new generation of Falcon alumni. Completing this form does not obligate you to further action - it only notifies BGSU of your interest.
Once your information has been received by BGSU Admissions, an office representative will follow-up within 7-10 business days.
Volunteer opportunities:
College fairs
Alumni from designated areas around the country can assist the Office of Admissions by working at a college fair in their area. Typically, fairs take place during September-October and April-May of each year. Fairs are also a main way for high school students and their families to get information about college.
We are currently most in need of volunteers in the following areas:

A representative from the Office of Admissions will contact you regarding your interest and availability for targeted fairs within these areas.
Phone calls to prospective students
We are also looking for alumni to call students to encourage enrollment at BGSU. Phone calls are a great personal touch in the recruitment process. The Alumni Association provides call lists based on geographic location or academic interest.
On-campus recruiting
Join us in welcoming prospective students and their families to BGSU each fall and spring. The Office of Admissions hosts large events that bring thousands of students to campus each semester. Assist with meeting and greeting, registration and offering an alumni perspective on the Falcon experience.
Off-campus recruiting
Join us in welcoming prospective students and their families to BGSU each fall and spring. The Office of Admissions hosts events in different cities in Ohio and out-of-state locations. Be a part of a program that brings BGSU to your area. Assist with meeting and greeting, registration and offering an alumni perspective on the Falcon experience.
