Ways to Give Back

The Leadership Circle at BGSU is a distinguished and dedicated group of donors who partner with the University by making an annual gift of $1,000 or more. This generous yearly investment helps BGSU pursue its mission by:

• Providing unique opportunities, professional development experiences, and scholarships for students.
• Making available essential supplies, materials and advanced technology for classrooms and laboratories.
• Creating the means and an environment to attract and retain distinguished faculty.
• Propelling academic, extracurricular, and public service programs to national prominence.

As BGSU strives to become the premier learning community in Ohio and one of the best in the nation, private funds received through Leadership Circle gifts are essential to the establishment and maintenance of the superior programs that distinguish BGSU from other colleges and universities.

Recognizing generosity

There are four levels within the Leadership Circle which recognize the generous annual giving of its members:

Honors Circle
Donors who make gifts of $1,000 to $2,499

Cum Laude
Donors who make gifts of $2,500 to $4,999

Magna Cum Laude
Donors who make gifts of $5,000 to $9,999

Summa Cum Laude
Donors who make gifts of $10,000 or more

All Leadership Circle members will be recognized at the University’s distinguished donors dinner.

Gifts of appreciated securities

An increasing number of donors are choosing to give appreciated securities to BGSU. Donors enjoy the ease of giving and the significant tax savings these gifts may create.

If you are interested in making a gift of appreciated securities/stock, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your gift in advance. It is strongly recommended that for each gift, you forward a cover letter giving your name, address and phone numbers (personal and business information), along with your gift designation.
