Help grow a scholar
The Family Campaign tradition continues at BGSU. For 10 years our faculty, staff and retirees have been active participants
in the BGSU Family Campaign. Nearly $9 million has been raised since the Family Campaign was formally started in 1999. The
tradition continues, as the campus community demonstrates that we, who know the University best, are dedicated to ensuring
a future of continued excellence.
Each year gifts to Family Campaign support a variety of programs and scholarships including Falcon Club, WBGU, department-funded
scholarships and other areas. With the current economic downturn, it becomes even more important for us to stay committed
to supporting our students by donating to scholarships and other programs that keep a BGSU education strong.
Now more than ever, contributions supporting student scholarships are vitally important. During this difficult economic time,
a special fund, “Sustaining Tomorrow’s Scholars,” has been established to ensure that scholarship dollars remain available
to deserving students.
When you make a gift to BGSU it helps in several ways. In addition to the area you select to support, your contribution will
help the university secure funding from corporations and foundations. Your participation, not just the amount of your gift,
is what counts and shows prospective corporate and foundation donors that our faculty, staff and retirees believe in Bowling
Green State University..
Did you know?
 Any gift you make to the University during the fiscal year (which runs from July 1, 2008 until June 30, 2009) "counts" as a gift to
Family Campaign.
Nearly $9 million has been raised through the generosity of faculty, staff and retirees since Family Campaign began in 1999.
Your contribution to any BGSU Foundation fund counts toward Family Campaign totals.
Family Campaign benefits University initiatives of the donor's choosing. Many faculty, staff and retirees also give to the
BG Gives Back Campaign, which has a different focus than Family Campaign. BG Gives Back benefits local agencies and people
of northwest Ohio through the Community Shares of Northwest Ohio and the United Way of Greater Toledo.
Participation matters
There are many funds at Bowling Green State University to which you can make your gift. No matter what cause or program you believe in, there
is a match for your passion at BGSU. Contact your department’s Family Campaign representative for information on funds that
are of special interest to your department.
All faculty, staff and retiree donors are recognized in the annual Family Campaign report and on a sign that is displayed
each year in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union–unless a donor declines public acknowledgement.
