Our advisors are here to help you create an individualized academic plan and provide valuable resources to keep you focused on your goals. They are experienced in working with a wide range of students and can help you connect with resources both on and off campus.

What’s Your Major?
If you are unsure about what you want to study at BGSU, you are not alone. Each year about 500-600 students enroll at BSGU undecided about their academic major. That’s where Pre-Major Advising comes in. We help you plan your course schedule, explore different areas of study and learn more about your interests, abilities and values—all with the goal of helping you make informed decisions that will lead to your ultimate success at BSGU and beyond.

Stay on Track
Advising Services is an important resource throughout your BGSU experience. Our advisors care, they listen and they take action to keep you on track. All entering students are required to see an advisor prior to registering for your first semester.

To make the most of the advising process, you should meet with your advisor during scheduled appointments and before registering for classes each semester. You and your advisor share one common goal—to get and keep you on track for timely graduation and a rewarding career.
