Presidents' Day Volunteers: Job Descriptions

Stadium Bus Stop (Tent):

Welcome guests. Direct them to busses from parking lot.

Bus Riders:

Highly energetic and outgoing volunteers will ride with the visitors as they go from the parking lot to the check-in area, explaining the day's events, answering questions and providing information about our campus.

Transport Greeters:

Assist visitors as they get off shuttle/bus at Anderson Arena (check-in area).

Volunteers Outside Doors of Anderson Arena:

Greet and direct visitors inside to check-in stations. Direct them to areas of interest on campus.

Volunteers in Lobby of Anderson Arena:

Greet and direct visitors inside to check-in area.

Volunteers on floor of Anderson Arena:

Greeting and directing visitors within the arena. Help direct visitors to the check-in area. Answer questions while visitors are waiting to check in and go out onto campus.

Volunteers at the Check-in Tables (Anderson Arena):

Assist with pre-registered visitor lists. Hand out day's materials.

Campus Shuttle Riders:

Ride with, welcome and inform guests of day's events. Answer questions. The shuttle follows the normal daily route.

Volunteers on First Floor Union:

Greet visitors and direct them to specific areas within Union. Answer general questions.

Volunteers at Union Doors:

Greet visitors and direct them to the Grand Ballroom or to specific presentations, if appropriate. Answer general questions.

Volunteers at Second Floor Hallway (Ballroom Doors):

Guide visitors to exhibits and presentations. Greet and answer questions.

People Movers:

Direct wandering people in one of many targeted areas of campus. Provide information as needed.

Volunteers at Olscamp Hall:

Welcome guests to the presentations. Assist with monitoring of traffic flow throughout the first floor. Answer questions.

Dining Hall Greeters:

Welcome guests, answer general questions, explain dining hall procedures, when necessary.
