Writing Center staff provide workshops for faculty and students on a variety of writing topics. See the list below for a sample
of the workshops provided upon request.

- Introduction to the Writing Center Workshop (10-15 minutes)
Writing Center Staff introduce faculty and students to the services and resources available to BGSU community members.
- UNIV 100 Workshops (varies)
Writing Center staff provide informational presentations to UNIV 100 students. Staff emphasize the importance of writing in
all courses as well as explain writing services available to students enrolled in General Studies Writing courses. Students
also have opportunity to ask questions about writing at BGSU.
- APA or MLA Workshops (45-50 minutes)
Writing Center Staff explain in-text and References/Works Cited formatting conventions. They provide models and familiarize
students with useful online and hard copy resource tools.
- Peer Review Workshops (45-50 minutes)
Writing Center staff help instructors facilitate peer-to-peer writing feedback at any stage of a writing process in any discipline.
Staff can also help faculty construct effective peer review guidelines so that both the writer and peer reviewer benefit from
the peer review process.
- Graduate Student Workshops (varies)
Writing Center staff provide single or ongoing workshops designed to facilitate and support the writing process of graduate
students engaged in writing projects across disciplines. Staff assist with research proposals, literature reviews, dissertations,
and master’s projects.
- Faculty Workshops (varies)
Writing Center staff provide assistance with assignment sheets, rubrics, and peer review guides that are compatible with and
support BGSU Learning Outcomes. Staff also provide feedback to faculty working on publications and grant proposals.
Other workshops, designed to support specific writing processes in various teaching and learning environments, are also provided.
