Hi! My name is Chris. I'm a sophomore here at BG, and like so many of my fellow students, I really have a tough time writing papers. I just can't seem to write at the level that my instructors expect.

The thought of writing essays makes me nervous and frustrated, and when I sit down at a computer, I just can't seem to write what I want to say. When I try to revise my essays, I just stare blankly at the computer screen trying to figure out how to improve my paper.

I had tried to revise my essays by myself many times, but I couldn't find my own mistakes or see my problems. When my teacher would look at my writing, she'd talk about "synthesis" and "organization." I'd agree that those were weak points in my writing, but I didn't have the slightest idea how to fix them, let alone avoid those mistakes in the future.

One day during a conference, my instructor suggested that I go to the Writing Center for help. She said that the Writing Center had capable writing consultants, who could give me individual attention and provide helpful feedback on my writing
