Being competitive in your class has little to do with the number of hours you study the week before the exam. It is much more
related to the intensity of your efforts the first two weeks of class and those weeks when you do not have an exam.
- In your difficult courses find the smartest people to study with you
- You must study difficult subjects on a continuous basis
- Even subjects as "relatively easy" does not imply that they do not require a great deal of time if you want to earn an "A" or "B"
- Get help when you need it. You should try to have at least one question to ask the professor after you study each lecture and the textbook. This forces
you to really pay attention
- Use a 40-3-2 study schedule
- Study for 30-40 minutes
- Break for 3 minutes
- Upon return - for 2 minutes...review what you just learned before you look ahead to what is coming.
