Colloquium Series for 2014-2015

Dr. Sebastian Roelands served as colloquium coordinator and invited a variety of speakers to BGSU.  Below is a list of our colloquia for 2014/15.

November 14, 2014:  Jonathan Wolff, Assistant Professor of Economics, Miami University, presented “State-Dependent Output and Welfare Effects of Tax Shocks.”

December 5, 2014:  Rachel Childers, Ph.D. candidate, The University of Kansas, presented “Tort Reform Laws:  Do the Details Matter?”  Rachel is a BGSU alum who graduated in 2009 with her BA in Economics and in 2010 with a MA in Economics.  She has returned to her alma mater as an instructor of economics for 2015/16.

December 10, 2014:  Ihsan Saracgil, Ph.D. candidate, University of Michigan, presented, “Real Effects of Bank Capital Structure.”

April 20, 2015:  Sebastian Roelands, Assistant Professor of Economics, BGSU, presented, “Does ‘Too Big To Fail’ Reduce Competitiveness?”
