A
graduate completing a business education major
is eligible for a career-technical teaching
license in integrated business, providing that
he or she has a 2.5 accumulative grade point
average, has successfully completed the Praxis
examinations, and meets all licensure requirements.
Learning
Outcomes
Upon
completion of the baccalaureate degree, students
in business education are expected to:
- Demonstrate
knowledge and understanding needed to perform
successfully in four domains: organizing content
knowledge for student learning, creating an
environment for student learning, teaching
for student learning, and teacher professionalism;
- Describe
trends and issues in workforce education,
including career-technical education, tech
prep, career academies/majors/pathways, high
schools that work, and other national school
reform initiatives;
- Demonstrate
understanding of licensable content areas,
including such subjects as accounting, basic
business, business law, business economics,
computer information technology and systems,
management, office procedures, and software
applications.
