SMI Woodwind Camp
June 8–13, 2008
Due to unexpected low enrollment, the SMI staff regrets to announce that we must cancel the SMI Woodwind Camp, June 8–13. SMI staff will be contacting the individual campers by phone.
The Woodwind Camp offers a challenging atmosphere for aspiring high school students interested in improving their skills. Exciting musical and social activities are planned for players of all backgrounds and ability levels.
All participants will receive professional and personal guidance from members of the woodwind faculty at Bowling Green State University. Camp offerings include small and large woodwind ensembles, private lessons, seminars and guest artist, student and faculty performances.
Each participant will have the opportunity to perform on the final concert. Students should prepare an etude and/or solo for placment in ensembles on the first day of camp. In addition, students are encouraged to audition to perform a solo on the Honors Recital (see details below).
