Music from Bowling Green at the Manor House
The Outreach Program of the College of Musical Arts presents a number of events off-campus each year. Among them, the popular “Bowling Green at the Manor House” program begins its season in October. The following concerts will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Manor House at Toledo’s Wildwood Preserve Metropark.
Manor House events for 2008–2009 will include:
- October 14 – Julie Buzzelli, harp, and Katie Jones, flute
- October 21 – Students from the Oboe Studio of Jacqueline Leclair
- October 28 – Bowling Green Opera Theater: Opera Scenes
- November 18 – Graduate String Quartet
- January 20 – Megan Fergusson, viola
- January 27 – Students from the Bassoon Studio of Nathaniel Zeisler and from the Oboe Studio of Jacqueline Leclair
- February 3 – Students from the Vocal Studio of Christopher Scholl
- February 10 – Students from the Saxophone Studio of Distinguished Artist Professor John Sampen
- February 17 – Students from the Piano Studio of Robert Satterlee
- February 24 – Winners of the Bowling Green Chamber Music Competition
- March 3 – Students from the Viola Studio of Megan Fergusson
- March 17 – Students from the Flute Studio of Nina Assimakopoulos
- March 24 – Students from the Voice Studio of Myra Merritt
- March 31 – DMA Trio
- April 7 – Winners of the 9th annual Dr. Marjorie Conrad Peatee Art Song Competition
- April 14 – Graduate String Quartet
In addition, Outreach provides music for such special events for organizations such as Mid Am Bank and Trust; Wood County Hospital; the International Programs’ International Dinner; the Boulé group; and various weddings, church services and commercial performance opportunities throughout northwest Ohio.
