The Department of Public Safety includes the campus police, as well as the Campus Escort Service. Based in the Commons, uniformed officers patrol the campus
24 hours each day in marked police cars, on foot, bicycle and on special occasions by mounted patrol.
Also based in the Commons, the Campus Escort Service's goal is to offer an alternative to walking alone after dark. This is accomplished by making available screened escorts
to escort any individual to, from and around the Bowling Green State University campus.
