The Education Building was built in 1968 and houses the administrative offices and many of the faculty offices for the College of Education and Human Development. The college offers one of the largest and finest undergraduate teacher preparatory programs in the country. The College's
Technology & Resource Center is located on the second floor. This facility houses Macintosh and PC computers, a variety of educational software, and video-playback
machines that allow students to observe actual classroom scenes without leaving the campus. The equipment is also used to
videotape students as they practice teaching. Other facilities in the building include the offices and the Reading Center on the fifth floor, where elementary school children come after school and on Saturdays for help in improving their reading
skills.
