Harshman Quadrangle

This building is made up of four residence halls which were renovated in 1997: Anderson (#13), Bromfield (#10), Chapman (#11) and Dunbar (#14).

Built in 1964, this building was named for Dr. Ralph Garling Harshman, fifth president of the University.

Chapman Hall was named after Johnny Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed, a pioneer who traveled and planted apple orchards over much of Northwest Ohio.

For historical information about this building,  see the Harshman Quadrangle on BGSU’s Historic Campus Tour.
