Any BGSU patron with a BGSU ID and a current BGSU library account may borrow items from any OhioLINK member library by visiting that library. Check with Jerome Library circulation staff to check your patron record prior to visiting another OhioLINK institution.
If you are an OhioLEARN student and need to borrow BGSU material, stop by the Jerome Library circulation desk.
Remote access (access from a point off-campus) to the research databases and OhioLINK requesting requires patrons to have a current library account. If you are having problems with remote access, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call (419) 372-2051during open hours.
Courtesy card holders are not granted remote access to the research databases or electronic journals per our license agreements.
If you are teaching a Distance Learning class, a Continuing Education class in a remote location, or are the Director or facilitator for a program which has students who do not normally come to campus, contact the Head of Access Services, Mary Beth Zachary (email@example.com) or the Circulation Coordinator, Juli McCarroll (firstname.lastname@example.org) for information on library access for your students.
To assure timely access to all privileges, each semester, at least one week prior to the beginning of the class, fax a class list (or lists) for Mary Beth Zachary at (419) 372-6877. Include on the list the student names, BGSU ID numbers, current addresses, and current phone numbers. This process is to be used especially if the class is on a schedule different than the regular academic term. This information will ensure that access will be available on the first day of class.
If you need assistance with your research or have a reference question and would like to speak with a reference librarian, please contact the Jerome Library (419-372-6943 or toll-free at 866-LIB-BGSU) during reference desk hours. Librarian assistance is also available via our E-mail-A-Librarian or our IM-a-Librarian service .
Librarians are able to assist graduate students with research assignments by email or phone or in person in Jerome Library when students visit the BGSU campus. Graduate students should contact the instruction librarian in their areas for assistance.
