Phase Two - Replace Voicemail System
Why: The Audix voicemail system will be replaced in Phase 2 of the Unified Communications (UC) project.
Upgrading the voicemail system will allow BGSU to leverage greater capabilities in UC, utilizing features such as sending voicemail to email.
When: March 13 - 29 - This phase has been completed!
What: The Audix voicemail system will be replaced with the Unity voicemail system. See the Additional Information section below for Timeline, Documentation, and Training information.
How: Documentation and training for the new Unity voicemail system will be available. ITS is working with Netech to provide the appropriate infrastructure (see Phase 1).
Impact: Users will need to learn to use the Unity voicemail system. Time prior to the cutover to Unity is being provided in order to allow users to access the system to set up their account, announcement, and password. After the Unity cutover, users will have until March 29 at 5 p.m. to clear voicemails from the Audix voicemail system prior to messages being deleted.
